Visiting Grecialandia had been on my list for quite some time, and I was excited to finally experience it.
Located approximately 30 minutes from Puerto Plata City Center, the attraction is accessed via a mountain road near the entrance of San Marcos. While there are signs to guide you, the road conditions are not ideal. If you are driving a regular car instead of an SUV, extra caution is necessary.
Upon arrival, I noticed that there is no private parking area, so visitors must park along the roadside where other vehicles pass by.

The first impression was striking—the bright white and blue color scheme immediately evoked the ambiance of Greece. However, I found the connection between Greece and the Dominican Republic unclear.
The site consists primarily of a single street lined with picturesque spots for photography. The buildings along this street serve as rental apartments. At the end of the street, there is a small restaurant, a panoramic terrace, and a modest pool. The view from the terrace is breathtaking, offering a stunning panorama of the valley and surrounding mountains.
According to the website, Grecialandia offers donkey rides, live music, dance performances, and entertainment. However, during our visit, we only encountered loud music playing from speakers—there were no live performances, entertainment, or visible donkeys.
The all-inclusive pass includes a welcome cocktail, drinks (excluding cocktails), and a choice between a noodle dish or Greek-style sausage served with salad and tropical fruit. The meal was decent but unremarkable.
After capturing photos and having lunch, there was little else to do. The pool is quite small, with only a few sunbeds available. For those looking to enjoy a poolside experience, there are certainly better options elsewhere.
Final Thoughts
Grecialandia is a pleasant place to visit for photography enthusiasts, offering a unique setting and stunning views. However, the view is not visible while dining. At a price of $45 USD per person, I personally find it overpriced for what is essentially a one-street photo opportunity with lunch included.
