Notre mission<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Chaque ann\u00e9e, nous poursuivons la m\u00eame mission : faire en sorte que les enfants puissent commencer la rentr\u00e9e scolaire avec tout ce dont ils ont besoin. Non seulement l\u2019uniforme complet, mais aussi la tenue de sport, les chaussures, les baskets, une ceinture, un sac \u00e0 dos et une pile de cahiers. Chaque enfant, accompagn\u00e9 d\u2019un parent ou d\u2019un tuteur, choisit lui-m\u00eame ses affaires \u2014 un moment tr\u00e8s sp\u00e9cial, pour eux comme pour nous. Gr\u00e2ce aux g\u00e9n\u00e9reux dons re\u00e7us au cours de l\u2019ann\u00e9e, nous avons pu pr\u00e9parer des kits suppl\u00e9mentaires remplis de cahiers, stylos, crayons de couleur, crayons \u00e0 papier, taille-crayons, gommes, r\u00e8gles, surligneurs, crayons de cire et colle. Et s\u2019il manque quelque chose ? Nous l\u2019achetons simplement. Cette fois-ci, nous avons eu assez pour \u00e9quiper enti\u00e8rement 84 enfants. De plus, apr\u00e8s l\u2019achat d\u2019un stock de savon, nous avons \u00e9galement pu offrir \u00e0 chaque enfant un savon, une brosse \u00e0 dents et un tube de dentifrice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Samedi 20 juillet 2025<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Deux jours avant la premi\u00e8re sortie shopping, nous nous r\u00e9unissons pour pr\u00e9parer les 50 premiers kits. Des piles de cahiers, des montagnes de crayons, des rang\u00e9es de taille-crayons et de r\u00e8gles \u2014 tout est soigneusement tri\u00e9 et pr\u00eat. Dans l\u2019air flotte une atmosph\u00e8re d\u2019anticipation, en sachant que ces bo\u00eetes arriveront bient\u00f4t entre les mains d\u2019enfants pleins d\u2019enthousiasme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lundi 22 juillet 2025<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

T\u00f4t le matin, j\u2019arrive \u00e0 la Tienda Jimenez Kids<\/em> \u00e0 Puerto Plata. C\u2019est l\u00e0 que nous achetons les fournitures scolaires. Deux vendeurs m\u2019attendent d\u00e9j\u00e0 ; ensemble, nous passons en revue les prix et le budget. Les choix doivent \u00eatre clairs \u2014 il y a des sacs \u00e0 dos \u00e0 700 pesos, mais aussi \u00e0 2 500. En marquant les rayons accessibles, nous veillons \u00e0 ce que chaque enfant puisse choisir librement, mais toujours dans le cadre du budget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nous commen\u00e7ons doucement, avec un groupe de gar\u00e7ons et un groupe de filles. Le magasin bourdonne de voix, des enfants essayant des chaussures, comparant des sacs \u00e0 dos, choisissant avec soin. Les voir sortir avec leurs nouvelles affaires, pr\u00eats pour une nouvelle ann\u00e9e scolaire, ressemble \u00e0 une v\u00e9ritable f\u00eate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Au fur et \u00e0 mesure que le projet avance, une demande suppl\u00e9mentaire arrive. Certains parents qui avaient pu payer les uniformes l\u2019an dernier ne le peuvent plus cette ann\u00e9e. Les circonstances changent, et le besoin est bien r\u00e9el. Nous lan\u00e7ons un appel au soutien suppl\u00e9mentaire, et une fois encore, nos amis et nos sympathisants r\u00e9pondent pr\u00e9sents. Assez de fonds sont r\u00e9unis pour inclure aussi ces enfants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lundi 11 ao\u00fbt 2025<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Les trois derniers gar\u00e7ons viennent chercher leurs affaires. Avec eux, le projet est officiellement cl\u00f4tur\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Au total, 84 enfants sont maintenant pr\u00eats \u00e0 commencer l\u2019ann\u00e9e scolaire le 25 ao\u00fbt \u2014 pleinement \u00e9quip\u00e9s, et avec la confiance que donne le fait d\u2019avoir tout ce qu\u2019il faut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
